Pre School Department

  • Before applying for admission, parents/guardians must have prior understanding of the school’s philosophy, mission, vision and values through visiting the school; reading the school’s brochure and checking the school’s websites.
  • Present the proof that the child is healthy both mentally and physically by submitting a medical certificate or a n original maternity health record book. (0-1 year old, 1.5-2 years old)
  • Diagnostic test will be conducted by teachers.
  • Decision will be carried out by the Admission Committee and released a week after assessment.
  • The parents/guardians are expected to give a full support to their children’s growth in the school educational program.

Kindergarten Department(3 – 4 years old)

  • Before applying for admission, parents/guardians and students must have prior understanding of the school’s philosophy, mission, vision and values through visiting the school; reading the school’s brochure and checking the school’s websites and of the IB Programme.
  • Present the proof that the child is healthy both mentally and physically by submitting a medical certificate or an original maternity health record book. (0-1 year old, 1.5-2 years old, 3-4 years old)
  • All incoming Owlets, 3-4 year old must be toilet trained.
  • Interview by school principal and diagnostic test will be conducted by teachers.
  • Decision will be carried out by the Admission Committee and released a week after assessment.
  • The guardians are expected to give a full support to their children’s growth in the school educational program.

5 years old

  • Before applying for admission, parents/guardians and students must have prior understanding
  • Of the school’s philosophy, mission, vision and values through visiting the school; reading the school’s brochure and checking the school’s websites and of the IB Programme.
  • Present the proof that the child is healthy both mentally and physically by submitting a medical certificate or an original maternity health record.
  • Interview and diagnostic test will be conducted by both teachers and school principal.
  • Decision will be carried out by the Admission Committee and released a week after assessment.
  • The parents/guardians are expected to give a full support to their children’s growth in the school educational program.

*This is their last year in Kindergarten programme prior to Elementary programme. Thus, children with insufficient English Skills are required to take English Support class or a bridge class as a condition and a requirement for his/her admission.

Grade 1

  • Present the proof that the child is healthy both mentally and physically by submitting a medical certificate.
  • Parents should be aware of the different learning abilities of elementary students from the kindergarten students.
  • Students should have reached the expected standard level of profiency in their mother tongue as shown in their previous school records, recommedations or credentials prepared by the child’s adviser and signed by the school principal.
  • Interviews and Entrance examinations will be conducted by both teachers and school principal.
  • Decision will be made by the Admission Committee and released a week after assessment.
  • The parents/guardians are expected to give a full support to their children’s growth in the school educational program.

*The students with insufficient skills in English Literacy must attend the Bridge Programme to make a comprehensive progress and improvement in English in order to successfully access our curriculum. This will be discussed to parents before accepting their child/children.

Grade 2

  • Before applying for admission, parents/guardians and students must have prior understanding of the school’s philosophy, mission, vision and values through visiting the school; reading the school’s brochure and checking the school’s websites and of the IB Programme.
  • Present the proof that the child is healthy both mentally and physically by submitting a medical certificate.
  • The grade report cards of the previous school attended should be submitted.
  • Student should have developed a positive learning attitude.
  • Interviews and Entrance examinations will be conducted by both teachers and school principal.
  • Decision will be made by the Admission Committee and released a week after assessment.
  • The parents/guardians are expected to give a full support to their children’s growth in the school educational program.

*The students with insufficient skills in English Literacy must attend the Intensive English Language Learners’ class to make a comprehensive progress and improvement in English in order to successfully access our curriculum. This will be discussed to parents before accepting their child/children.

Grades 3-5

  • Before applying for admission, parents/guardians and students must have prior understanding of the school’s philosophy, mission, vision and values through visiting the school; reading the school’s brochure and checking the school’s websites and of the IB Programme.
  • Present the proof that the child is healthy both mentally and physically by submitting a medical certificate.
  • Submit a copy of the Progress report cards from previous school/s attended.
  • Student should have developed the learning attitude and understand the difficulties and the joy and delight of learning.
  • Interviews and Entrance examinations will be conducted by both teachers and school principal.
  • Decision will be made by the Admission Committee and released a week after assessment.
  • The parents/guardians are expected to give a full support of their children’s growth in the school educational program.

*The students with insufficient skills in English Literacy must attend the Intensive English Language Learners’ class to make a comprehensive progress and improvement in English in order to successfully access our curriculum. This will be discussed to parents before accepting their child/children.

Grade 6

  • Submit the copy of the Progress report cards from previous schools attended.

  • Admission at the middle of the school year is possible provided the student pass the interview and entrance exam.

*The students with insufficient skills in English Literacy must attend the Intensive English Language Learners’ class to make a comprehensive progress and improvement in English in order to successfully access our curriculum. This will be discussed to parents before accepting their child/children.
*From second semester of the current school year, the Grade Six class is closed for enrollment . Reasons are as follows: The class has started their preparation for the PYP Exhibition. It would be a learning disadvantage for the incoming new student to be rushed in two months to adjust and participate in an exhibition that needed more than a year to prepare. The school also upholds the quality of its educational programme.

Grades 7-9

  • Before applying for admission, parents/guardians and students must have prior understanding of the school’s philosophy, mission, vision and values through visiting the school; reading the school’s brochure and checking the school’s websites and of the IB Programme.
  • Present the proof that the child is healthy both mentally and physically by submitting a medical certificate.

  • Parents should have a clear understanding on the responsibility of an MYP student.
  • Interviews and Entrance examinations will be conducted by both teachers and school principal.
  • Decision will be carried out by the Admission Committee and released a week after assessment.
  • The parents/guardians can cooperate with developing physical and psychological health of their children as well as the growth of knowledge and social skills.

Grade 10

  • Every student should have reached the academic level of OIS for all subjects as a preparation for the IB Diploma Programme (DP).

Enrollment for April entrance

  • Admissions for the following year will be announced in October every year and requirement will begin.
  • Applicants could visit OIS and after the explanation, they could take the trial class.
  • Download directly from Home Page to get guidance and admission application forms required for admission. Please fill them out and hand in them with the other necessary documents
  • After the assessment date is decided, please visit OIS with the child(ren) and the guardian.
  • Child/ren who is older than 5years old(kindergarten) will have the assessment (paper test and interview).
  • Result of the assessment will be announced a week after the assessment. For the schedule, please contact us or visit our Home Page.
  • If the student is allowed to enter the school, please pay the enrolment fee and complete the enrollment procedure. Please note that the enrollment fee is not refundable for any reason.
  • Orientation for new student will be held in February.
  • Other expenses should be paid on the orientation day.

Mid-term enrollment

Mid-term enrollment is accepted if the class hasn’t reached the maximum enrollment.
