Opening Ceremony Online for Grade 1 Students
On April 7, 2020, 20 new OIS Grade 1 students and parents participated in the Online Opening Ceremony through Zoom, and then officially became elementary students.
They met their new teachers and friends online, and responded with big smiles on their faces. we can feel their passion towards a brand new life stage across the screen.
In the past month, the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has spread throughout much of the world, including to Japan, and last night the Prime Minister declared a state of emergency. During the special period of time, OIS teachers will continue to be hard at work to creatively engage students in a virtual setting. All our students will be offered at-home learning opportunities online or through accommodations like worksheets packages and email check-ins.
We strongly believe that it may take time, but everything will be OK.
